Greetings, readers and eaters! Welp, even though I was swimming in a pond only yesterday, the holidays are somehow upon us, which translates to at least one very exciting thing: It’s time for my annual Cookbook Gift Guide. I love giving cookbooks all year long, of course, but the holidays give me an excuse to up the ante a little, an excuse to bundle my favorite recipe collections with a relevant treat or gifty food product. I find this strategy — a strategy that’s not just for cookbooks — works for almost everyone on my list, whether they are city people or country people, world travelers or armchair travelers; friends who are fancy, simple, young, old, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or omnivorous; Veteran, seen-it-all cooks, or cooks who say things like “I don’t have a Dutch oven, but I do have an American oven.” Whoever you are, wherever you live, whoever is lucky enough to be on your list, here are are nine special books on my gift-giving radar this year…

…Plus a little giveaway at the end. HINT ^^
