Three Things
One-pot family dinner, a cocktail revelation, your next great read
Greetings eaters and readers! Hope you had a nice weekend. I spent a good chunk of mine devouring All Fours and wondering: Am I the last woman over 45 to read (and love) this book? (I think so, yes.) In dinner news, I’m sending today’s dispatch from my sister’s house on Long Island, and it’s just the two of us, which means I am free to dream up recipes with eggplant and zucchini, two vegetables that are generally in the no-fly zone for my own family. I’m thinking some kind of ratatouille or eggplant galette or Lukas Volger’s Charred then Chilled Zucchini Soup or maybe Hetty McKinnon’s Smashed Eggplant Udon Noodles. (How good does that look?) I know it’s gonna be hard but you’ll have to wait til next week to find out what happens. Herewith, Three Things I’m excited to tell you about on this early August morning…
