Where we eat, stay, and play on (and around) Kiawah Island.

As promised, here is a little more on our March trip down to South Carolina. Longtime readers know that we’ve been going to Kiawah Island, about a 40-minute drive from Charleston, for over 30 years. There are fancy hotels (famously The Sanctuary and now the Andell Inn) and too many destination-worthy golf courses to count (the 2021 PGA was held at The Ocean Club and alas, we have never golfed once) but other than an occasional cocktail at The Sanctuary’s bar, we mostly stay outside of that scene. Our priority is to be outside as much as possible, easy when it’s so beautiful.
