Vacation Highlight Reel: Vermont

Where we ate, hiked, and chilled in the Green Mountain State.

Greetings subscribers! As I’ve mentioned a few times in this newsletter, one of my daughters goes to college in Vermont, and after a year of visiting her there, after a year of driving the bucolic mountain-creek-lined snakey roads, a year of loading up the backseat cooler with the region’s farm-fresh local everything, a year of hiking and skiing and swimming hole-ing, I think it’s safe to say that we’ve officially fallen in love with the state. Which is why we decided to make a vacation out of school drop-off this year, renting a house in Charlotte, a town on Lake Champlain (above) that’s about a half hour south of Burlington.
