What Makes a Meaningful Day?
For me, it's a combination of three things.
You know how I write down every dinner I’ve ever made in my Dinner Diary (going strong since February 1998!) because it lets me pretend I have some measure of control over my life? Well, consider this Volume 2 of that series, which I’d like to tentatively title: “A Delusional Woman’s Guide to Living Happy, Meaningful Days in Three Easy Steps (Including Checklist!)” And yes, there will be food, but for those of you who were hoping for their weekly dinner inspo, here’s an excellent pomegranate-braised pork loin that is just right for a winter weekend. But I do hope you’ll stay.
So: What makes a day meaningful?
I started actively, regularly asking myself this question a few years ago after realizing that there was an emptiness looming. I had been spending a good chunk of the workweek by myself, staring at a screen.
