This is very exciting -- one of my kids vastly prefers animal protein to just about anything else, so our meals have usually been meat/chicken/fish plus a lot of veggies for me, but she's both going to college in a year and finally ready to branch out so I am really looking forward to this.

that's so funny Allie. my youngest, an egg-hater, is headed to college next year, too and I spend a ridiculous amount of time thinking about all the omelets and frittatas and scrambled eggs (!) I can make for dinner. Imagine being a vegetarian without eggs at your disposal!

Scrambled eggs for dinner is just such a treat.

Congratulations! As a 95% vegetarian (not going to say no to lobster in Maine now, am I?!), I cannot wait to get my hands on this book.

I am cooking my way through The Weekday Vegetarians and loving it! I made a great discovery over my lunch today thanks to leftovers! Your cilantro pesto is wonderful atop your curried red lentils!

Can't wait to cook from this!!! If the little snippets I've garnered from Robin over the last years are anything to go by, I"m going to love it.

This is so exciting! Congratulations, Jenny! I have all 3 of your books and love them. We only eat meat 2 or 3 times a week, just our normal lifestyle, out of practicality and preference. Plus our kids just don't like meat that much. Your books/blog have helped me so much in figuring out meat dishes! Broiler-roasted salmon has been a game-changer. The cafe chicken is the ONLY chicken my kids will eat. They call it orange chicken haha. That said, I have a question about the new book. I cannot eat dairy for health reasons and I was wondering how many of the recipes are dairy-based (cream, cheese, etc). I just want to get an idea of how many recipes I might be able to use, if that's okay. Thanks again!

I did not exclude dairy in this book, but there is advice and instruction throughout on how to veganize everything, which should take care of that! Thank you so much for the nice note.

Hello, from those that worship you from afar in L.A. Cannot wait for the new book! My new favorite idea of yours the unconstructed pizza, has become a favorite with all of my friends. My spin is I roast loads of cherry tomatoes with salt, olive oil and herbs. I make a plate for each person with their own buratta ball, a large amount of the cooked tomatoes and an arugula salad! Then cut up the pizza crust that has too much oil and sea salt on it!! It’s a pretty plate and super yummy. Sometimes if I have a little pesto I add a little to each plate. Whoops was that meant to be a super healthy recipe??

Your website appears to be down.

Also, I have a question about the Braised Beef Short Ribs on page 40 of Dinner a Love Story. You mentioned that you serve them to the kids, put the kids to bed, and then serve them to the adults several hours later. Do you just keep them in the oven at a lower temp in the interim? If so, what temperature? How do you keep them from? Getting all tough and drying out?
