I live in Dublin, so Euro2020 is a huge feature in our house, too! It's the first summer that our kids are getting really into sports on TV (my partner & I are big armchair sports fans, so we've been cultivating this for years, lol) It's more prime time for us, so we've been doing lots of snacking - popcorn sprinkled with cinnamon sugar or nutritional yeast (popped in coconut oil for maximum yum factor), cheese & cracker platters, smoked almonds, and fruit trays. For England v Germany we did make-your-own turkey tacos, which was not culturally appropriate, but 100% delicious TV food. I hear you on falling behind because it's so addicting...my summer reading stack is not shrinking at all because I can't. Stop. Watching.

I have the same fear/stress/excitement everytime I pick up my CSA basket! Kohlrabi has made an appearance and I have never tried it before! I made Kohlrabi latkes/fritters...not sure the appropriate term but inspired by latkes! They were amazing!

I used to have World Cup Parties and would get intense on the food. Like the year the US played England I had matchups. Scotch eggs vs deviled eggs, beans on toast vs pb and j, sausage rolls vs pigs in a blanket, shepherds pie vs chili, I can’t remember the rest. Or one year I had one food or beverage from each country participating (!), even if just a soda, beer or candy. It was fun to try some very random things. I can see teens loving a mix of international sweets, sodas and snacks!
