I've kept a running list of holiday & company meals with recipes for years. I've expanded the file to include a master shopping list and a cooking schedule. This year I also noted the quantity of leftovers & suggested changes for next year.
I've claimed the late Irish poet John O'Donohue as my personal patron saint and loved you sharing his last interview here. I highly recommend his books, especially his book of blessings. Benedictus is the Irish/UK title and To Bless the Space Between Us is the USA one. If gifting to your daughter, I think having the print and the audio version cannot be beat, as his beautiful Irish brogue brings the words home. "To one who is exhausted" might have been read at the end of that podcast if I remember correctly.

It also makes me happy when guests open the fridge and help themselves! Those nachos are the best for game day - any sport, any time.
I, too, love John O'Donohue. His book of poetry, To Bless the Space Between Us, makes a lovely gift. Enjoy!
Just left a similar comment! :)
Thank you for solving dinner for me last night! The chicken, artichoke, and orzo dish was delicious!

Deirdre - I just bought a copy for my daughter for a holiday gift. Thanks so much for the idea.

Thank you so much, Deirdre. He read this one at the end of the podcast, a poem he wrote for his mom when his father died. Beautiful.

For some reason I saw the 12/2 reply but not this one. And the timing couldn’t have been more perfect for that poem. Thank you for sharing. 💛
no other way to have one! :)
