Congrats on 5 years! I posted 'what's saving my life right now" on Instagram Sunday and included that a screenshot from George's interview with that exact line in the closed captioning, I love it so much.

My TBR shelves are overflowing so I have sworn off purchasing new releases, with the large loophole of having also subscribed to Ann Patchett's First Editions. If Vigil isn't her February pick, I may have to break my own book buying ban.

Congrats! Your newsletter is always a must read. I just made Barbuto’s cauliflower soup with parsley pesto and it is outstanding! I wanted a technique that emphasized the flavor of the vegetable and it really delivered!

I still remember reading the first one - locked in the tiny pantry so that I was away from my two even tinier kids and thinking: someone else sees this craziness and is going to bring some pleasure.
