How do people keep their ovens clean?? I do a serious scrub ~2x/year, but quickly thereafter, it's coated in grease/carbon/etc again.

Currently starring in my own version of Julie & Julia. But mine is called Kimberly & Jenny. I opened up Dinner a Love Story and have decided to cook my way through it. Started last night with Grandma Judy’s Chicken. I have had the book since it was first published and and have always loved your writing style and your recipes. Will keep you updated! Made the cutlets Milanese style last night ... BIG HIT with my family.

I’m desperate for weeknight dinners that can be assembled, then left. Tray bakes, one pots, slow cooker etc! My kid has just started school 🥹 and I want to give them all my attention in the few hours between coming home and bedtime.

advice on how to make friends to have people over! I feel like inviting people you don't know super well is part of the point of entertaining but it also feels like some "big deal" to invite people over for dinner and adds a lot of pressure. basically hosting strategies...beyond food...

Dinners I can whip up for that brief after school/before sports practice window that aren't just refrigerated tortellini. I can do some prep before I go to work, but I need it to come together fast and I don't have time to negotiate with my kids on which parts of dinner they're willing to eat today. (I cook more involved things on non sports days, but that's not all the days!)

Different meals using similar ingredients or ideas to use odds and ends! I always have extra produce that goes to waste. Thank you (:

I'm in the same boat as so many commenters: Weeknight dinners! I always appreciate when you share a "doctored-up" Trader Joe's dinner or 5 ingredient meal. I'm also very curious about your rhythms around going through pantry items, spices, condiments, etc?

I am in a food rut, all I make is carnitas, spaghetti and some chicken (my kids are picky eaters.)

And the doggies are still underfoot, hanging out in front of the stove!
