Thank you for reintroducing me to Odette. I have her pasta book & obviously read it, judging from the number of recipes I marked. But your recollection of her relaxed entertaining approach plus skimming her substack together reminded me of Nigella Lawson’s lustiness for food. So I’m rereading Simple Pasta - for the stories more than the recipes - & want to cook. Starting with her shrimp.

I am not an expert but I guess I would say within 2-3 weeks of publication, so author can prioritize “promotional” events, but really there is no wrong time!

Yum! Could the filling in the rhubarb turnovers function as a rhubarb jam as well? I’m not looking for a shelf stable recipe - I just really want to make a fruit spread for toast or scones. ❤️
