That drink looks right up my alley. For those that also love cucumber cocktails I recently discovered 21 Seeds Cucumber and Jalapeno Tequila. It's an all natural infused tequila and very yummy.

I’m a new reader. Your sub stack was recommended to me by sub stack when I was signing up for the Isolation Journals. So far (1st read) I am liking what I’m reading!

Liana finck's substack recommended yours :) As for graphic novels, I second When Stars are Scattered and suggest Feynman by Jim Ottaviani.

OK I think you've finally convinced me to try this chicken! One question: bone-in chicken thighs, or boneless?

I see a theme here...yogurt, in your chicken marinade, and in your flatbread from Weekend Vegetarians -- totally trying both of these! Oh, and thank you to Phoebe (and you) for the clutch graphic novel recommendations list, which is just in time for my freshman high schooler's weekend birthday -- order already in motion. Just thinking back to this time last year when you had your WV book launch soiree, it was a gorgeous eve with such inspiring energy :)

That chicken marinade recipe changed everything I know about grilled chicken. More than a game-changer--I'll call it a life-changer (and I'm not being overly dramatic).

So glad for the influx of new subscribers! This newsletter is one I look forward to every week, for both book recommendations and recipes/meal ideas. We are on opposite coasts but for some reason you always know just what I want for dinner.

I've been cooking for over 40 years but am a grill novice. Can you please tell me if my (gas) grill should be covered or uncovered while making this chicken? Thank you!

I am a new reader! I got here through the George Saunders newsletter which lists you as a recommendation - I think his newsletter (Story Club) was featured somewhere on substack recently so once I got there, I found you. I've been reading your blog which I learned about from Cup of Jo for years and years now but didn't know you now also wrote on substack. I'm looking forward to weekly missives, and thank you for all that you do!

Can you ask Phoebe, if hyperbole and a half is your absolute all-time favorite bug ever ever ever, what would be comparable? PS sorry about no food questions at this time but I’m gonna make a cucumber drink tonight♥️♥️

Your daughter has great taste! I'm especially excited that she likes John Porcellino so much, since his comics were a big favorite for me when I was a teenager 30 years ago.
